Course Objective:

equipment, and labor to manage warehouse operations.
About This Course:

curriculum, How to Plan and Manage Warehouse Operations has been
designed specifically for the practicing manager and the future manager. It

Dr. Thomas P. Cullinane is currently a professor at Northeastern
University in Boston where he was Chairman of the Department of Industrial
Engineering and Information Systems from 1985 to 1989. He has published
over 40 technical papers and also a course book on material requirements
planning.
Dr. Cullinane has worked with companies in planning and implementing
automated manufacturing and business systems, warehouse management
systems, and concurrent engineering programs. He received his B.S. degree
from Boston University, Masters Degrees from Harvard and Northeastern
Universities, and a Ph.D. from Virginia Polytechnic Institute.
James A. Tompkins, president of Tompkins Associates, Inc., received
his B.S.I.E., M.S.I.E., and Ph.D. from Purdue University. Well known
throughout the United States and Canada as a material handling and warehousing
expert, he has completed consulting assignments with companies
such as AMOCO, Burroughs, Caterpillar, Eastman Kodak, General Electric,
IBM, ITT Union Carbide, and Westinghouse.
Jerry D. Smith, a principal with the consulting firm Tompkins Associates, Inc.,
received his B.S.I.E. and M.S.I.E. from North Carolina State University.
At Tompkins Associates, he has worked with companies such as
Carolina Power and Light, Gillette, IBM, Kaiser Aluminum, and Tektronix.
Jerry Smith’s experience includes industrial engineering positions at Firestone
Tire and Rubber Company and Crown Zellerbach.
